GRAMMY-nominated Nigerian-American rapper Wale has joined forces with breakout Nigerian singer-songwriters Teni and Seyi Vibez for new single and video "YSF," which seems to stand for "you're so fine."
"Shot on 16mm film, the video drifts between worlds with Wale, Teni, and Seyi Vibez donned in a mix of Adire Alabela traditional garb and Western silhouettes, including Wale’s latest Nike GT Future collaboration," reads the press release. "Highlighting the technique of Adire Alabela, the visual masterpiece demonstrates the process where candle wax is carefully applied to fabric to create intricate designs resistant to dyes. The artist whose studio is featured, Fadekemi, is known for her Adire Eleko techniques, using traditional Yoruba indigo-dyed textiles as an act of research and preservation."
It's a beautifully vibrant video, which suits the lively tube.
