Jeremy Keith Steps Into the Spotlight on The Voice
After more than two decades in the music industry, Jeremy Keith is finally claiming center stage.
Known for years as a background vocalist, Keith’s appearance on The Voice marks a turning point—one he describes as both “full circle” and “life-changing.” When three coaches turned their chairs, it wasn’t just validation—it forced a shift in how he saw himself. “Maybe I didn’t fully respect who I was as an artist before—but now I do,” he says.
That realization didn’t come easily. Keith built his career on humility—keeping his head down and supporting others—but The Voice demanded something different. “It’s all on me now,” he explains. “Not just the vocal, but the energy, the performance—everything.” His mindset also evolved in real time. While he entered the show grateful for the opportunity, it was Kelly Clarkson’s belief in him that changed his perspective: “If she believes I can win, then I believe I can win too.”
Rather than choosing comfort, Keith deliberately chose to join Adam Levine’s team, seeking growth beyond his R&B and orchestral foundation. “I wanted someone who could bring something different out of me,” he says. Offstage, that same intention shapes his work as a vocal coach, where he takes a holistic approach that goes beyond technique. “My purpose is to touch people,” he explains. “When I sing, I want whatever’s burdening you to be lifted, even if it’s just for that moment.”
As he builds his solo career and prepares new music, one thing is clear—Jeremy Keith is no longer waiting in the background. He’s stepping fully into who he is as an artist, and he’s ready to be heard.

THE JEREMIAH SHOW Featuring Shaun Drew
The Hollywood Composers Series
An Interview Series Celebrating Hollywood’s Best Composers
In this thoughtful and musically rich episode of The Jeremiah Show, Grammy-nominated composer and producer Shaun Drew opens his creative world through a handpicked playlist of original works that reveal both his craft and his character.

Framed as an invitation to truly listen, the conversation moves through selections including “Singularity,” “I Walked Into the Darkness, and I Emerged From the Light,” and music from Secret Origin: The Story of DC Comics, giving listeners a rare chance to hear Drew discuss composition in real time.
He speaks openly about writing through grief, processing emotion during the pandemic, and creating music that begins not with a fixed message, but with an honest emotional state. Throughout the interview, Drew’s work emerges as deeply cinematic yet personal, shaped by contemplation, imagination, and a lasting sense of wonder.
The episode also offers a fascinating look into the technical side of film scoring, as Drew explains the difference between songs, cues, scores, and click tracks, while reflecting on orchestration, hybrid composition, and the use of live players, including the Northern Film Orchestra String Quartet and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. He discusses the challenge of writing quickly under a deadline for DC projects, the tonal difficulty of scoring comedy, and the purpose behind his bespoke music library, where self-generated pieces can later find life in film, television, or advertising.
But beyond the mechanics, Drew makes the case for music as something larger—an emotional language that can build empathy, bring healing, and help shape culture. The result is an episode that not only explores how music is made, but why it matters.
