Hit the Decks! It's Mary Droppinz

California-based electronic artist Mary Droppinz started DJing in 2015, in SoCal.

"I started producing in 2019 and went to IO academy in Hollywood to learn Ableton," she says. "It got serious for me in 2021 when I first got a manager/agent."

The artist describes her sound as... "experimental and experiential… with breaks, garage, jungle, riddim, 140. My sets are journeys and selections!"

Droppinz's latest release is, literally, "What?"

"Just dropped a tune with my friend Neumonic, called 'What?'" she says. "Out on deadbeats--cheeky ting, I love it!"

As for gear: "CDJ 3k’s, Seinheisser HD-25’s, 900 Nexus 2 mixer - my personal fav’s … software Ableton and Rekordbox - I am FL curious lol."

Looking ahead, Mary Droppinz has plenty planned for 2026.

"My first single of 2026 dropping on Deadbeats called 'Pop'," she says. "I’ve been playing this track in my sets for a while and this newer elevated 2026 version was just perfect for the label. Full EP will be dropping. Just making tons of music. I’m really having fun."

Mary Droppinz performs at Exchange LA on February 15.
