TASCAM announced on Thursday the release of the FR-AV4, "a powerful and compact 4-channel audio field recorder and mixer which features a timecode generator and HDMI sync abilities."
While MC hasn't had the opportunity to test it yet, the people at TASCAM seem very pleased with the product. "With its lightweight and compact frame, the FR-AV4 easily integrates into any videography rig - which includes film production, video journalism, and wedding videographers, to name a few - as well as finding itself at home among field recordists, sound designers, and audio recording applications of all types."
