Animazing Gallery, located inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, has built its reputation on bringing together art and pop culture. The gallery regularly showcases work from legendary names, and now it’s preparing to add a Beatle to its roster.
A statement from the company reveals that Animazing Gallery “announced plans today to showcase the artwork of Ringo Starr, coinciding with the Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band residency at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.” The exhibition, titled STARR ART, will be on view September 5 through October 15.
This marks Ringo’s first art show since 2019, and for the first time, he will present his original paintings alongside limited edition and signed works. A statement from the release emphasizes that “100 percent of artist proceeds will benefit Ringo’s charity, the Lotus Foundation.”
Ringo began his artistic journey decades ago, experimenting with oils and acrylics before moving into digital compositions in the late 1990s. As the gallery notes, “since his first exhibition of his paintings in 2005, which he titled My Faces, Ringo’s artwork has continued to evolve, seeing him experiment with different mediums and techniques.”
The upcoming collection will highlight his Spin Art pieces, which Ringo describes as an almost accidental discovery. “I loved Spin Art the first time I saw it,” he explains. “I saw a video of some kids doing it and I thought I’m going to try that. I started with a small canvas and now I’m working on huge ones… one of the great surprises has been that I started putting canvases around the room to capture the overflow and whatever paint the spinning threw off—and those became their own art.”
Ringo’s work is often linked to the Pop Art tradition, drawing comparisons to Andy Warhol and Keith Haring for its bold colors, playful energy, and use of familiar imagery. Much like his music, his artwork carries themes of peace, love, and humor.
STARR ART will be open to the public, and the gallery will also host a private event with the artist for collectors who purchase his work in advance. Details of that event are expected to be announced shortly.
Ringo’s art has already been exhibited worldwide—in Europe, South America, Australia, and the United States. This Las Vegas exhibition continues that tradition, bringing his visual artistry directly alongside his residency performances.
