NAMM Week Event Celebrates Emerging Music Creators In The Sync Licensing Industry

WHO:                          John Clinebell and Sonnet Simmons, co-founders of 2Indie, a successful music business education company founded in 2022, that offers innovative live and pre-recorded coaching programs on sync licensing, artist branding, releasing music and social media for artists. Both are former VPs at music licensing agency Catch The Moon, and have had hundreds of major placements of their own music to their credit. Clinebell and Simmons know what it takes for indie artists, songwriters and producers to realize life-changing upward momentum in their music careers from the inside out.

Rebecca Trujillo Vest, a music creator, collaborator, producer, singer/songwriter, community activist, and philanthropist who created Osmunda Music to guide her creative output. Vest recently established the nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization Pandion Music Foundation (PMF) with two other artists—Jordan Stobbe (based in Melbourne, Australia) and Carls Woolf (based in London)—to serve as a free online music industry resource dedicated to helping emerging artists around the world gain access to career information about career sustainability and growth. She is a co-founder of the band Space Babies and co-owner of the Venice recording studio Earthstar Creation Center with her husband Michael Vest.

WHAT/WHEN:                        Monday, April 10

  • (10AM-6PM) Sync-O-Thon Song Feedback Marathonfundraiser for Pandion Music Foundation Get live feedback on your music (in person in the studio), mix and mingle with guests we bring in live for the 8-hour marathon online broadcast. This event will be broadcast live to Facebook.
    • (7PM-10PM) Sip & Supe Mixer An intimate networking experience for music creators that provides access to experts in the sync licensing community. There will be a short Q&A with a Music Supervisor (Special Guest TBA) and then the event turns into a memorable mixer. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

                                    Tuesday, April 11

  • (10AM-6PM) 2Indie Writers Camp for Syncalicious 2Indie’s first writers camp, an opportunity for participants to write on one of the songs for an album that already has a rep deal in place for music licensing. Writers in teams of three will join Clinebell and Simmons in the studio (along with potential special guests) to topline an indie rock song for 2Indie's first studio project under their production house Syncalicious. Each attendee will be working in the studio for a block, auditing in the studio for a block, and the rest of the time will be engaged in fun activities with their group to get in the mindset to make the most of this amazing opportunity.
  • (8PM-10PM) Collabodate is essentially speed dating for creative collaboration in the music industry. Attendees will meet at least 10 different potential collaborators during this event. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

                                   Wednesday, April 12

  • (10AM-6PM) 2Indie Writers Camp for Syncalicious Day Two. This is a continuation of the activities described for the Tuesday, April 11th event.
    • (8PM-10PM) 2Indie Artist Showcase an intimate whisper room concert featuring artists from the 2Indie sync community with a portion of the proceeds benefiting PMF. Attendees can submit for an opportunity to perform at the showcase.
