Feist Wins Polaris

Feist’s fourth studio album, Metals, won the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, garnering the songstress a bounty of $30,000. The Polaris Music Prize honors and rewards creativity and diversity in Canadian recorded music by recognizing the highest artistic integrity, without regard to genre, professional affiliation, or sales history, as judged by a panel of selected music critics. “What I want to say is thank you to the people who really listened to my record,” Feist said. “I’m genuinely grateful from one solitary listener to another.” For more information, check out http://listentofeist.com.
