When Brian Wilson returned to the stage in 2000, it wasn’t just a comeback, it was a resurrection. After decades spent in the shadows of his own legend, the Beach Boys mastermind stepped onto the small stage at West Hollywood’s Roxy Theatre and filled it with a sound that was both fragile and transcendent. Those two sold-out nights became Live at the Roxy Theatre, his first live solo album. Now, 25 years later—and heartbreakingly, just months after Wilson’s passing Oglio Records is bringing that moment back to life.

Set for release on November 7, 2025, Brian Wilson: Live at the Roxy Theatre (25th Anniversary Edition) marks Wilson’s first posthumous release and his first-ever appearance on vinyl for this album. The expanded set arrives as a 3LP box, a 2CD set, and a digital edition, all produced by longtime Wilson collaborator Mark Linett and Oglio founder Carl Caprioglio.
“With Brian’s passing this year, this edition isn’t just a reissue—it’s a heartfelt tribute to his artistry, his kindness, and the timeless music he shared with us,” says Caprioglio.
Originally recorded in April 2000, Live at the Roxy captures Wilson surrounded by a 10-piece band (featuring members of the Wondermints) as they glide through pristine versions of “California Girls,” “Surfer Girl,” and “Good Vibrations,” alongside later-career gems like “The First Time” and “This Isn’t Love.”
The new edition deepens that moment with newly unearthed performances and on-tour recordings from 2000–2009, expanding the tracklist to a full 40 songs on the 2CD version. For fans who’ve worn out their old CDs, this is the definitive document of Wilson’s live renaissance—the show that proved his voice, humor, and genius were still intact.

“Those nights on the Sunset Strip turned out to be the beginning of Brian’s great second act,” writes Wilson biographer David Leaf, who contributes new liner notes. “Looking back now, it’s clear: the Roxy was where Brian’s rebirth as a performer truly came alive.”
The collection’s evolution mirrors Wilson’s—from fragile and uncertain to full, radiant confidence. The setlist spans the entire arc of his career, from teenage surf hits to spiritually searching originals, and it closes with the kind of harmony only Wilson could summon from chaos.
Oglio’s anniversary edition also includes favorites like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Sloop John B,” “Help Me, Rhonda,” and “Fun, Fun, Fun,” plus rarely performed tracks like “Soul Searchin’” and “Southern California.”
It’s hard not to get emotional hearing Wilson’s voice again. Twenty-five years later, Live at the Roxy Theatre sounds less like a live album and more like a spiritual homecoming.
