Trance-folk artist Anna May told us about her love for her Fishman Loudbox acoustic amp.
Anna May: A piece of sound gear that I cannot live without is my Fishman Loudbox acoustic amp. It makes my voice cut through and sound pretty resonant in any setting. It has been truly foolproof in outdoor and indoor settings of all varieties; I do not tour anywhere without it.
I am a folk artist and have a quieter voice. There have been people on my path who have told me that my voice would never be able to cut through in certain venues or environments, and playing hundreds of shows all over the country with this amplifier has proven that to be untrue, and has given me the confidence to perform anywhere.
The Fishman makes my voice radiate a rich vocal quality and lyrical clarity, which is so important to me as a songwriter. Whether it be a quiet listening room or at a winery with a good amount of background noise, I always receive compliments on my voice and lyrics, and I really credit that in a big part to my choice of amplifier!
