American Traditions Vocal Competition Now Accepting Applications

Applications are open for the 25th annual American Traditions Vocal Competition in Savannah, GA. The top prize is $12,000, and a contract with the Savannah Philharmonic. Applications are being accepted through Oct. 20. Visit for more.

Any singer born before February 19, 2000 is eligible to apply to the American Traditions Vocal Competition. The competition requires singers to create three rounds of three different songs, all written by American composers.  Each song must represent a different genre for a total of nine.  The point of this is for singers to learn about different genres of music - the history, the roots, the key players, the stylistic nuance - of each genre.

There is an application Fee of $55. In addition, other prizes and awards include:
