WHO KNEW Presents an Evening with Music Supervisors

WHO KNEW, sponsored by MusicRowSearch and the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University, will present "The Pitch: An Evening With Music Supervisors" on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at City Winery. The event will mirror last year’s successful Pitch event that featured music supervisors representing television, film, trailers, video games and advertising, listening to live bands perform their material in hopes that a song may be selected for a synch placement right on the spot.

Steve Schnur (Global Head of Music at Electronic Arts), Anastasia Brown (veteran TV producer and music supervisor) and Dawn Soler (SVP of Music at ABC Television) will moderate a panel of senior-level music supervisors, who will also share stories and tips about the types of music they are seeking to place in television, film, trailers, video games and branded advertising.

“Last year when we put on this event, we had an artist (Sonia Leigh) perform and her song received two synchs as a result,” said Tom Truitt, WHO KNEW creator and CEO of MusicRowSearch. The song was placed in the Sims video game franchise as well as a TV episode of Nashville. The topper was Sonia also landed an acting role in the TV show. “That’s a career-defining moment for an indie artist and we intend to help other artists do similar things with this year’s event,” Truitt added.
