RedOne and four writers (AJ Junior, Bilal The Chef, Kinda Hamid, and Teddy Sky) from 2101 Songs, the music writing division of RedOne’s 2101 Records, took home a BMI Latin Award for “Award Winning Songs.” This is the second (2) BMI Latin Award win for RedOne. Last year (2012) he won for “I Like It” by Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull.

“I am so honored to have been recognized at the BMI Latin Awards for our work with Jennifer on ‘Ven a Bailer.’ We had so much fun making that record and we are all so proud that after more than two-years, the song continues to earn recognition and achieve great success." said RedOne.

This year’s BMI Latin Awards celebrated the Latin Song, Songwriter and Publisher of the Year, as well as the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-performed Latin songs on American radio and television in the U.S.

"On the Floor" is Lopez's most successful single to date, topping more than twenty national single charts. The English version of the single earned a triple Platinum certification in the US and in seven other countries, including Spain, where “On The Floor” remained at number one for fifteen weeks. In 2011 the song was also the #1 most viewed single on Youtube and Vevo. The single’s Spanish version, “Ven a Bailer,” has also earned tremendous success on Latin radio stations, where it peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.

In 2010 RedOne claimed his first-ever BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year crown. That year he won awards for Sean Kingston’s "Fire Burning," and Lady Gaga’s "Just Dance," "Love Game," and "Poker Face." To date, RedOne has earned a total of 13 BMI Awards.
