Once again another year of "Psycho de Mayo", Psycho Realm throws another concert but this time at the Fox theater in Pomona on May 4.
The hip-hop duo formed in 1989 by the brothers Sick Jacken and Big Duke from downtown pico-union area of Los Angeles, CA. With a sick line up of underground and commercial rap artist the night was definitely something to talk about. Hosted by the talented female artist Reverie loyal psycho fans were restless waiting for man of the hour Sick jacken to come on stage. The night started off with artist Thaslegend hypying up fans and rapping to one of his hit songs "Ask me how i'm doing". Next a hardcore band from New York graced the stage with frontman vocalist Freddy Cricien leading the way with his energetic flow singing/screaming to "Hardcore still lives". LA native and artist Bambu hopped on stage right after to elevate the crowd goers with one of his hit songs "Welcome to the party".
One of the artist everyone was looking forward to seeing was Pomona's very own Suga Free, with his energetic flow he made sure he put his hometown city Pomona on the map with his classic hits such as "If you stay ready" and "why u bullshitten." Southcentral native MURs came up next with many of his smash hits like "Okey dog," "Lookin Fly" and "Remember to forget", Murs has been a mainstay in hip-hop since his first album release F'Real in 1997. Finally, the man of the hour Sick Jacken jumped on stage, wasted no time and started flowing to his hit bangers "El Barrio" "The Sickside" "Land of Shadows" "Cutless Supreme" and more. Obviously, Sick jacken perfomed solo duo to his brother Big Duke being paralyzed from a shooting back in 1998. But Sick Jacken did perform on stage with his friend and underground hip-hop artist Cynic one of the songs was "Im Gone" was a crowd pleaser in which almost everyone knew the lyrics. It was definitely and a night to remember and next years Psycho de Mayo is expected to be even bigger and better.
