The artist conjures a deep, sensual swirl on “My Way” that goes a long way toward showing her abundant confidence and ambition. Both the lead vocal and the backups are fx’d on “Love Me” along with fluttering flutes and Mid-Eastern touches, all of it
adding up to a hypnotic sound. “Escape” impresses us most as Victoria intones about leaving a bad relationship. This artist
is spot-on in terms of her sound and style. Still eluding her, in our opinion, are songs that are ultimately memorable.
