Manimal Partners with INgrooves for Worldwide Distro, Music Pub.

154Manimal Group (founders of Manimal Vinyl Records; who have released records and exclusive singles from Bat for Lashes, Warpaint, Jenny O, Duran Duran, Carla Bruni, Edward Sharpe + the Magnetic Zeros) have announced today that are creating a collective, in partnership with several independent labels across the globe, that they are calling The Manimal Label Group.  Manimal has also announced that they have chosen INgrooves Music Group as their worldwide digital & physical distribution and music publishing partner. The announcement was made by Manimal founder, Paul Beahan.

"In late 2013, we started organizing Manimal Label Group as a way for artists who owned their music to build the foundations of creating their own record labels," said Beahan. "We also started to explore LA based labels that had slowed down their operations to create a new business model that would enable them to be prolific once again in the 21st century. INgrooves offers the most cutting edge technology and high standard business model that we have experienced in my decade of working in music. We are incredibly elated to have them as partners in this new endeavor which will continue to evolve Manimal as a music company and grow along with the best, most innovative and hardworking labels across the globe."

Manimal has currently signed up fellow indie pioneers such as legendary LA punk/noise label Buddyhead (Icarus Line, Dillinger Escape Plan, Giant Drag, Burning Brides), Franki Chan's IHC 1NFINITY  (IHEARTCOMIX, Matt + Kim, Heartsrevolution, Designer Drugs), La Société Expéditionnaire (Strands of Oak, Moon + Moon, Blessed Feathers), Vancouver garage label LA-TI-DA Records, Argentinian based Casa Del Puente (DIIV, Of Montreal, Deerhoof). Newcomer labels such as Cautionary Tail (founded by musician/producer Norm Block), Brooklyn based Tacky Records, ex-DiosMalos singer Joel Jerome Morales', East LA label Psychedelic Thriftstore Recordings, Compton based newbie Busy Sounds as well as  seven more labels. Manimal plans to have 25 labels on board by Summer 2015.

"INgrooves fully supports the growth and creative efforts of Manimal's new label collective, and we are thrilled to be working in partnership with them," said Amy Dietz, INgrooves' General Manager. "We look forward to contributing to the development of Manimal Label Group and providing a variety of global services to their team, including distribution, strategy & sales support, as well as music publishing and rights management."
