Before heading out to Europe and South America on their world tour, Korn blasted through the second-night of a sold-out doubleheader at the grand opening of the newly relocated House of Blues venue in Anaheim, CA.
Hailing from Bakersfield, CA, circa 1993, the nu-metal hitters is one of the most influential bands of the past 24 years. The two-time Grammy Award-winning band, consisting of lead vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch, bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and drummer Ray Luzier, hit the stage unleashing a night of pure talent and passion for lovers of nu-metal. As adrenaline pumped through the cheering crowd, an unforgettable night began with Davis standing behind his one-of-a-kind iconic microphone, echoing three iconic words, "Are you ready?"
As expected, it was another epic Korn performance--they killed it on stage. The tightness of Korn's performance was inspiring and palpable, proving, once again, music is the great unifier. Through a far-reaching range of songs, Korn continues to connect and inspire their loyal fans through their lyrical genius. Always in commanding control of the crowd, Davis did not miss a note using his formidable vocal stylings through a mind-blowing 15-song set.
Signed to Roadrunner Records, Korn released their 12th studio album, The Serenity of Suffering, on Oct. 21, 2016. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Nick Raskulinecz, the critically acclaimed LP captures the sounds and energy an avid Korn fan will appreciate--the old-school vibe that made Korn famous. Debuting in the top five on the Billboard 200, the album garnered Korn a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for their Top 5 rock radio hit, "Rotting In Vain."
Beginning in Salt Lake City, UT on June 16, Korn will be teaming up with Stone Sour, the alternative metal band fronted by Corey Taylor, for a summer U.S. tour, appropriately titled The Serenity Of Suffering in support of Korn’s new album. Presented by Live Nation, the June/July tour will feature many special guests—BABYMETAL, Skillet, Yelawolf, Ded and Islander. The band will also be performing a series of top-billed festival performances throughout the summer.
