Imagem Music Signs Songwriters Hill and Lundin

Judith HillImagem Music U.S. has announced two new additions to its publishing roster—soulful singer/songwriter Judith Hill (pictured left) and Swedish songwriter Niclas Lundin.

Hill signed a multi-year worldwide publishing agreement with the company. A Los Angeles native, Hill started her career beginning as a background singer for legends including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ringo Starr and Michael Jackson. She has also appeared on screen in the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom, and won the Grammy Award for “Best Music Film” for her participation. Her talent caught the eye of superstar Prince, who offered to play on and produce her debut solo album, Back in Time, which saw 200,000 downloads on Live Nation in two days. The collection showcases songs about racial injustice and overcoming struggle, nestled alongside funky party jams that Hill says are a celebration of music, community and family.

"I am excited to have the uniquely talented songwriter, musician and artist Judith Hill join the Imagem Music family,” says Jason Jordan, President of Imagem Music U.S. "She is truly one of a kind, and we look forward to hearing and watching her grow."

Hill adds, “I’m thrilled to be part of the Imagem family, one of the first publishing companies to support the new soul/funk movement of which I am proud to be a part of. Their roster is impressive in that it not only crosses genres, but spans generations. From Mark Ronson to Daft Punk to Rodgers & Hammerstein and George Gershwin, Imagem is breaking down walls."

Imagem has also signed a worldwide publishing agreement with multi-platinum Swedish songwriter Niclas Lundin. Lundin has become a sought-after songwriter and has had several No. 1 songs all over the world.
