Harris Alumni Win Producer & Engineer Juno Awards

Henry "Cirkut" Walter won the 'Jack Richardson Producer of the Year' and Eric Ratz won 'Recording Engineer of the Year' at the 2014 Juno Awards in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Henry Walter won for producing "Give it 2 U" by Robin Thicke and co-producing "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus with Luke Gottwald. He was also nominated for 'Songwriter of the Year' for co-writing "Wrecking Ball", "Roar" by Katy Perry and "Timber" by Pitbull.

Walter completed the Producing/Engineering Program (now Audio Production Program) at Harris Institute in 2006 and has since co-produced and co-written for Rihanna, Britney Spears, The Weeknd, will.i.am, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Kesha and Nicki Minaj, among others. He was also nominated for the '2014 Song of the Year' Grammy Award for Katy Perry's "Roar".

Eric Ratz won for engineering Monster Truck's "Sweet Mountain River" and "The Lion" from Furiosity on Dine Alone/Universal. He was also nominated for the 'Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award' for Furiosity. Ratz completed the Producing/Engineering Program in 1991 and was nominated for 'Recording Engineer of the Year' Juno Award in 2005, 2007 and 2013.

He has produced, engineered and/or mixed recordings by Billy Talent, Kathleen Edwards, Big Wreck, The Tea Party, Metric, Sarah Slean, Great Big Sea, Theory Of A Deadman, Dragonette, Matt Mays, Arkells, Enrique Iglesias, Big Sugar, Fefe Dobson, Cancer Bats, Stars, Sarah Harmer, Thornley and Doc Walker, among others.
