Entertainment One and HW&W Announce New Partnership

Entertainment One (eOne) has announced that it has completed a multi-year distribution deal with Los Angeles based independent label Huh What and Where (HW&W).  The deal was announced by Chris Taylor, eOne’s Global President, Music and HW&W’s President Bahwee Suh.

Under the new pact, eOne will distribute all future releases from the bold label worldwide. Scheduled 2018 releases from HW&W include debut albums from PYRMDPLAZA, Gravez, Tek.Lun & Pink Skies.  The label also plans to focus on international touring and building its management arm, Sabotage Management.

“We are so excited to work with Bahwee and his HW&W team. They’ve proven over and over again they have their ear to the street and can uncover gems,” Taylor said.

Established in 2011, HW&W’s notable early releases included albums from Ta-ku, Evil Needle & Ohbliv.  After Suh discovered Kaytranada in 2012, the label released the infamous Kaytra Todo EP, followed by his At All/Hillary Duff EP in 2013.  The label went on to release Ta-ku’s “Songs to Break Up To,” Fwdslxsh’s “The Fall,” Pomo’s debut EP The Other Day, Freddie Gibbs’ single “My Dope House,” Kaytranada’s 99.9% (in Canada) and STWO’s 2016 debut EP D.T.S.N.T., which featured Daniel Caesar, Brent Faiyaz, BADBADNOTGOOD and more.

HW&W won the Juno for “Electronic Album of the Year” two years in a row, with Pomo’s The Other Day and Kaytranada’s 99.9%.
