DCD_Press_Photo_lo_resDead Can Dance have partnered with Genero.tv to give filmmakers and music video directors the chance to make the music video for “Children of the Sun,” one of the highlights on their 2012 album Anastasis. The contest runs through March 4 and those interested can enter and see the official rules at http://genero.tv/deadcandance/.  The winner will receive £3,000 (approximately $4,700) and have their creation used as the official music video for “Children of the Sun.” Outstanding videos will also be nominated for the 2013 Genero Awards. Dead Can Dance and Genero will choose the finalists and winners.

Anastasis is Dead Can Dance’s first studio album in 16 years. Anastasis is the Greek word for resurrection and can also mean between two stages, which is a fitting way to title the return of Dead Can Dance and to start their new chapter. It is also an astonishing regeneration of the legendary beauty, power and spellbinding nature of the duo’s unique sound and vision. Anastasis is out now on [PIAS] America.
