WonderkindRAC

Composer, Producer, Arranger, Remixer RAC, né André Allen Anjos, joins the progressive pop alternative roster of Cherrytree Records, home to such ground-breaking artists as Ellie Goulding, Feist, Robyn, Sting, Far East Movement, Jessie Ware, Keane and La Roux

Originally born and raised in Portugal to a Portuguese father and an American mother, RAC settled in Portland, Oregon where he began to forge his unique brand of indie-pop by creating inventive remixes for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Two Door Cinema Club, Lana del Rey, Lady Gaga and Ellie Goulding among others. His first solo recording, "Hollywood," featured Penguin Prison and hit no.1 on all 4 Hype Machine charts immediately upon its release in the Summer of 2012. Now, RAC prepares to release his debut EP and full-length on Cherrytree Records in Summer and Fall of 2013 respectively.

Cherrytree Records' Martin Kierszenbaum, had this to say about RAC's signing: "We've had the privilege of working with RAC previously as a remixer-producer and it's a real joy to provide the home for his original music. André is a most talented writer, arranger and producer. It's an honor to be able to work with such an accomplished musician."

Says RAC, "In the past 6 years I've done remix work with just about every label out there. Because of that I had some real insight into who I liked and who worked the best. I couldn't be happier about this partnership with Cherrytree. It was the obvious choice. Their enthusiasm about my music was really what drew me to them and their past and recent success also speaks volumes."

Founded in 2005 by songwriter, producer and label executive Martin Kierszenbaum, Cherrytree Records has had a huge impact on modern pop, launching the 15 million album selling Lady Gaga in 2009 as well as guiding the flourishing US careers of Feist, Robyn, La Roux, Ellie Goulding, Jessie Ware and worldwide successes of LMFAO and Far East Movement. In the process, Cherrytree Records and CherrytreeRecords.com have become a source for pop alternative music and culture as well as catalysts for artist collaboration and innovation.
