Cherrytree Records - in partnership with Interscope Records - announced the launch of Cherrytree Records France. The French-based A&R and marketing operation will be overseen by Polydor/Universal Music veteran and Cherrytree France head, Guénael "GG" Geay (aka Guena LG).  Cherrytree France will look to sign artists from Europe with an eye toward building them in France and taking them onto the international stage.  In Cherrytree spirit, the Paris-based label office will focus on finding and introducing progressive artists and pop alternative music. Signings to Cherrytree Records France already include Skip the Use, Carbon Airways, Julian Perretta and the Young Professionals.

Chairman and founder of Cherrytree Records Martin Kierszenbaum said about the launch, "It is an honor to be able to establish a real home base in France where we've had so much love and support for our progressive pop music over the years.  It's also an absolute pleasure to be doing it with my great friend Guenael 'GG' Geay whose innovation and musicality have helped Cherrytree and its artists find such a warm and loyal audience in France."

Guenael Geay commented, "Launching Cherrytree Records France is a brilliant opportunity to stretch our artistic offering throughout Polydor and reinforce the bridges between France and international markets. Martin Kierszenbaum is one of the people I trust and admire most in this business. His capacities as a producer and songwriter are as impressive as his skills that have guided Cherrytree to such incredible success. What an exciting time."

Founded in 2005 by Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer and label executive Martin Kierszenbaum, Cherrytree Records has had a huge impact on modern pop, launching the 15 million album selling Lady Gaga in 2009 as well as guiding the flourishing US careers of Feist, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Robyn, La Roux and successes of LMFAO and Far East Movement. In the process, Cherrytree Records and CherrytreeRecords.com have become a source for pop alternative music and culture as well as catalysts for artist collaboration and innovation.
