Bassrush Records launched

Bassrush Launches Free Music Label

Insomniac’s bass music brand, Bassrush, has introduced its first free label, Bassrush Records. Bassrush will continue to expand into new territories and feature free releases on its website and the official SoundCloud from a roster of fresh faces and established artists in the drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep, glitch, trap and bass genres. The first release from Bassrush Records, the Dendrology EP from breakout artist LUMBERJVCK, is now available here.

“Bassrush has always been at the forefront of discovering and nurturing the best in bass music,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “The launch of the label is a long-awaited project that will enhance all forms of bass music and I’m looking forward to launching the label with LUMBERJVCK’s new EP.”

Established in 2002, Bassrush has amassed a portfolio of national sold-out shows, global festival stage takeovers and a dedicated fan following. The first of many free releases to come on Bassrush Records, LUMBERJVCK’S EP will set the pace for the brand’s boundary pushing support of bass culture and breakout talent.

Producer and multi-instrumentalist LUMBERJVCK (Connor Schatzel) built a loyal audience with his free releases and genre-bending musicality. After earning success with his track “Click Clvck,” which circled the world on Skrillex’s 2014 Mothership Tour, his momentum has only continued to rise over the last two years with a selection of unprecedented hits on Buygore, Kannibalen, Rottun Recordings, DOOM and Always Never. His 2016 collaboration with 12th Planet on SMOG Records, Name Bran, secured the No. 4 spot on Beatport’s Dubstep Top 100.

Dendrology, LUMBERJVCK’s Bassrush Records debut, features collaborations with Evol Intent, Twin Moons and MineSweepa. The groundbreaking five-track EP follows two years of touring that spanned almost every state in the U.S., as well as Canada, Australia and Europe. Included in his touring schedule were appearances at Insomniac events Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland.
