Astralwerks Signs Singer/Songwriter Albin Lee Meldau

Astralwerks has signed Albin Lee Meldau and re-released his debut EP Lovers, aiming to mark the singer/songwriter as an artist to watch in 2017. Meldau has already accumulated 15 million streams on Spotify, with the single “Lou Lou” reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in five countries. The new EP re-release adds the bonus track “Bloodshot (Demo)” and is available now on iTunes and Spotify. Currently, Meldau is working on his debut LP, which will be released by Astralwerks in 2017.

Albin Lee Meldau hails from Gothenburg, Sweden, the son of a Swedish jazz singer mom and a British punk rocker dad. He has been gaining fans across Europe from the smallest clubs to the largest festival stages with his voice and performance style.

Recently, the singer/songwriter won the 2016 Anchor Award, an international competition hosted by the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany that seeks out the best new emerging talent. He was selected by a jury that included producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie), who sang Meldau’s praises in presenting him the award.
