A$AP Ferg returns with the light and loose Still Striving, packed with fun and stylish songs. Ferg enlists help from a variety of collaborators including Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Snoop Dogg and much more; this is the album’s greatest strength and most blatant weakness. On one hand, Ferg brings the best out of his collaborators and vice versa. For example, in the head banger “Mattress Remix,” Ferg and groupmate A$AP Rocky effortlessly execute an interchangeable flow that is unmatched. However, having so many fingers in the pie takes away from the overall project; at times, it doesn’t feel like it’s Ferg’s album.
